ON-SITE SUPPORT AND MENTORING FOR YOUR ENGINEERS

We will work with your site manager and engineer(s) to ensure:

  • Setting out activities go smoothly
  • Control points are set up correctly
  • Correct paperwork and files are in place

Coaching and mentoring your site engineer, we will offer technical advice and work with them to help them solve problems or address professional challenges. We will  visit them on site regularly and provide telephone and email support when they need it.

If you don’t already have them in place, we will work with you to develop written procedures and policies for all your setting out activities including allocation of duties and responsibilities, equipment care and maintenance, and maintenance of control points. We can also assist with any other aspect of QA on site.

SITE SET-UP

We will work with your site engineer(s) on their own site to install accurate and reliable primary control points and set up secondary control points.

We will work through the process with them, letting them take the measurements and process the results with our guidance and support.

We will help them set up the relevant setting out related QA files at the start of the job and ensure that they know how to maintain them.

We will empower your engineers to take take ownership of all aspects of setting out on site.

SUPPORT AND MENTORING FOR SITE ENGINEERS

We will provide dedicated mentor to your site engineer(s). The mentor will make regular site visits to ensure everything is running smoothly and that your engineer feels fully prepared and supported. The mentor will be able to help with technical problems as well as any other personal or professional challenges that may arise. Your engineer will be able to call or email their mentor at any time to ask for advice.

For larger companies, we can work with you to develop a strong mentoring culture amongst your own employees.

PROCEDURES FOR SETTING OUT ACTIVITIES

If you are not sure whether you have the right written procedures in place for your setting out activities, it is worth finding out. Before starting a project, it is important to have clear written procedures for all aspects of setting out including installation of primary and secondary control points, instrument checking regimes, lines of communication and keeping correct records.
